On the next day, the King of Atuni brought all his sons and daughters to the the palace of the God Emperor, and once more was granted audience and his ministers, servants, wives, slaves, sons and daughters were brought before the First God Emperor. The God Emperor’s servants and ministers were in attendance also.
And the King of Atuni spoke unto The First God Emperor, Oh king of kings, conqueror of men, and ravager of lands, my kingdom and yours have known peace with one another for a very long time. I have brought before you all my sons and daughters. Take their lives, but spare one of your choosing to succeed me, take my previous offers also, but let my kingdom be free.
And the First God Emperor was pleased. He said unto the King of Atuni, you have attempted to bribe me, son of Atuni, but what can you give a god besides your obedience, for all else is already His? Still, at long last, at the end of your life, you have finally served your purpose.
And the First God Emperor reached out with his mind, and split the king’s head from his neck, his neck from his torso, his arm from his body, his fore arm from his arm, his hand from his forearm, his chest from his waist, his legs from his waist, his shins from his legs, and his feet from his shins. Finally, his eyes were pulled from the head, and the First God Emperor kept these.
A part of the King of Atuni was given to each of the sons and daughters, except for the waist which was given to the wives. The blood was shared amongst the servants and slaves, and the King of Atuni’s clothes were given to the ministers.
And the First God Emperor spoke unto the servants, wives, sons and daughters, slaves and ministers, go now into Atuni and tell them they and their lands are now mine. And they went into the land and they did.
And thus it was that Naram-Sin was united.

Nola
This is gorgeous! (Also I didn’t get a chance to respond to it earlier, but the ‘under construction’ art was great.)
